This is a clip from the CSJ's Annual Awards from this July. The charity gaining the Award was Nelsons Trust. The Nelson Trust has supported clients to live drug free for 24 years. They have a strong history of innovation for some of the toughest beneficiaries in the addiction field. They have independently pioneered supported house for recovering addicts to effectively transition them back in to society, setup up female specific houses and introduce an especially effective family model to help addicts get to the root causes of their addictions. Clients that complete the minimum m 6 month programme leave with a sense of respect and dignity, discovering an awareness of choice and responsibility free from addictions. The Nelson Trust operates at a 90% occupancy rate and has a planned completion and treatment rate of approximately 75% to the national average of 51%
